If exercising for weight loss and dieting for weight loss were not enough, there is also the problem of others discouraging you and your personal lack of confidence to achieve the body you have never even had before. Naturally, one will be easily demoralized and lose the motivation to lose weight.

Motivation for weight loss does come easy, that is when you see people with great bodies walking all around you, leading the lifestyle you have always wanted. They get the attention of the opposite gender easily, unlike you. However, sometimes it becomes depressing instead. You feel like you can never match up to these people, and you lose the confidence to achieve your goals.

To make things worse, there will always be that friend out there who will laugh at your goals and try to bring you down. What you have to realize is that these friends are just simply jealous. They have not found a technique or managed to lose weight effectively, and that is exactly why they try to make you believe likewise too.

There is an important mental technique called the power of association. They say that the five people you feel closest to will affect the kind of person you will turn out to be character-wise. So if all of them are confident and actually have goals in life, you will be more like them too! That is why you realize that fit people usually hang out with fit people and conversely. Not only are fit people naturally attracted to associate with other fit people, but it is also because the people who hang around fit people are so compelled to look the same that they eventually become as fit.

If your friends are all very motivating, associate even more with them! You have to take note of the difference between dreamers and opportunists though. Dreamers are people who have goals but never actually take steps to achieve them. Opportunists are people who have visions and grab every opportunity they have to reach their goals.

Associate with opportunists and not dreamers, otherwise your fitness goals will only remain as dreams, and I am certain that is not what you want. Now on top of the mental portion, you will also need to know the technical part about weight loss, and that is the dieting and the exercising.
